1/03/2011 At the grocery store, my husband, who drives trucks in Bermuda, insists on buying me flowers. They are purple lillies. I remind him that I don’t conceptually support the cut flower industry and he gets upset. He puts the flowers on the shelf and they disintegrate. Walking through the exotic produce aisle, I wake up.
