Last summer I paid for chess lessons in seashells and saw a man drown.  The man’s friends sat on a curb after he drowned, staring at a parking lot.  They were probably the age of most my uncles in 1989 when I was both one and two years old.  I watched the man drown for months afterwards and then, one day, it just sort of stopped happening.  David taught me chess openers while the man drowned in my mind.  We would sit mostly in the park near the castle.  Joe would join us sometimes.  I have forgotten everything that I have learned.
